Built for wind that crosses six miles of open bay
A full tear-off roof replacement in Barnegat, NJ costs $7,500–$15,000 for most homes, and Paragon Exteriors finishes nearly all of them in a single day. We file the permit with the Barnegat Township Construction Department, install 130 mph wind-rated architectural shingles as the baseline on bayside streets, and every estimate is free and itemized. Licensed and insured — NJ HIC #13VH13814500, 848-633-6440.
What’s under your shingles depends on the decade
We’ve torn off enough Barnegat roofs to know what’s waiting before the ladder goes up:
| Where | Built | What we plan for |
|---|---|---|
| Heritage Point, Four Seasons at Mirage, Brighton at Barnegat, Pheasant Run | 1998–2008 | Low, walkable pitches and builder-grade shingles aging out street by street — the fastest one-day jobs in town |
| Ocean Acres, Pinewood Estates | 1970s–90s | Second- or third-cycle roofs, occasional layered tear-offs, and ridge ventilation that was never done right the first time |
| Village blocks off East Bay Avenue | 1890s–1930s | Steep pitches, original plank decking, and chimneys that need fabricated flashing — not another bead of caulk |
The spec sheet, Barnegat edition
Every replacement gets a full tear-off (never a layover), a real deck inspection, ice & water shield at eaves and valleys, synthetic underlayment, and new drip edge and flashing throughout. Then the spec follows the geography. East of Route 9, near the municipal dock, we fasten with six nails per shingle, hand-seal starter and rake courses, and use corrosion-resistant fasteners that shrug off salt. West of the Parkway, out toward Cloverdale Farm, the pines are the threat instead: algae-resistant shingles for shaded slopes, and ventilation matched to your attic so summer heat doesn’t cook the new roof from below. Weighing shingle lines? Our Jersey Shore shingle guide compares what actually survives here.
Your install day, start to finish
Cars out of the driveway the night before. Tear-off starts around 7 AM, the deck is inspected and repaired by mid-morning, the roof is dried-in before lunch, shingles run through the afternoon, and a magnetic nail sweep of the lawn and driveway closes it out. Then we fly the drone and send you photos of the finished roof — every flashing detail, no ladder required.
Who actually shows up
Paragon is family-run by Joe Ballaccomo (15+ years in roofing and home improvement) and Franchi Vacchiano (roughly 40 years in construction, including foreman work on builds as large as the Borgata in Atlantic City). Barnegat’s adult communities are aging out street by street, and grouped scheduling on streets like those is how we ran 30 roofs in 30 days in May 2026 without touching the spec — worth asking about if your neighbors need roofs too. Financing turns the project into a flat monthly payment, and if your roof honestly has years left, we’ll say so and quote a repair instead. The full tear-off process is on the roof replacement page, and everything else we do in town lives on the Barnegat hub.
